To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, Holocaust survivor Lily Ebert – who was deported to Auschwitz aged 20 – shares her story alongside her great-grandson Dov Forman. Please subscribe HERE

As those able to give first hand testimony of the Holocaust dwindle, their stories have become more precious.

Lily Ebert, 98, was 20 years-old when she and her family were taken to Auschwitz aboard one of the last trains to enter the camp in 1944.

Lily survived, but her parents and some of her siblings were murdered.

She shares her story alongside her great-grandson Dov Forman who helped her to set up a TikTok account to educate the younger generation.

January 27 marks Holocaust Memorial Day, where we remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and the millions of people killed under Nazi persecution of other groups, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.
