Gaza frontline fighting: Israeli troops “storm heart of Gaza City” – BBC News

Israel’s defence minister Yoav Gallant has said Israeli troops have fought their way into “the heart of Gaza City”. Gallant said Israel Defense Forces “stormed” the city from the north and south.

Hamas has released pictures of the fighting.

Dozens of Palestinians have been reported killed by Israeli air strikes in the southern Gazan cities of Khan Younis, Rafah and Deir al-Balah.

The United Nations has again raised concern about civiilian casualties. It said on average 160 children are being killed each day in Gaza.
